Am I missing something here or just misinformed? This national chain http://www.citrussolution-carpetcleaning-daphne-fairhope.com/ advertises cleaning with D'limonene (a solvent) without rinsing yet it leaves no residue. They go on to say in the video that HWE is like shampooing your hair and not rinsing out the soap. Sounds like it should be the other way around. Plus wouldn't this cause delamination to the backing with the solvent weakening the glue.
Here is a link to a manufacturer of D'limonene and from what I read it recommends rinsing. http://www.floridachemical.com/whatisd-limonene.htm

Some people will say anything to get ya to buy in. We just saw that here in DC for the last 16 days. Just pick a topic.

Looks like another bonnet cleaning system. My guess is the product is an encap with a drop or two of d'limonene so they can make the claim. Easy to mislead the unsuspecting customer. If this were my market I would point out two things in my advertising. My ability to extract the deepest soil from fibers and the base of the carpet, not just surface clean, and the fact that my system doesn't leave residues behind....

S/O or S/O/E + Tropical + Agitation = great results + customers say it smells better than D'limonene cleaners; plus it's DfE safe.

Market the fact that D'limonene is toxic.
Market the fact that Finally, there is a safer alternative to D-limonene cleaners.
Franchise that.
Not worried about it just was surprised at how misleading it is.
