Procyon Plus Powder
I used this product for the first time at the recommended 2oz/gl RTU. The carpet wasn't that dirty but it did remove the spills next to the end tables with no spotting and did a good job on the traffic patterns but I did prescrub with the Orbot.
I used it to do a demo on some ceramic tile with very dark grout. The pits and craters in tile tile were dark too. It cleaned up the grout really good and the black in pits disappeared just with a grout brush. It blew me and the customer away.
Just some initial observation need to do clean a lot more nasty carpets and tile to make an informed conclusion.
It dissolved really easy

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
nice, of the green and safe products Ive used this one is by far the most impressive. The only one for me that compared was the ph10k but I dont believe its nearly as safe because I think it has some d-lim in it.
a lot of random/organic stains come out with procyon which I like.
The one cool thing about the extreme is its wool safe, so finally I have a knock out power spray that can be used on those ikea/crate and barrel rugs that usually get trashed by kids.
or some of the fancier homes we service they have wool rugs in their kitchen which pick up a lot of grease

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
Thanks Mo, just got your PM, I'll call that number tomorrow morning.
My buddy was selling this product ( Procyon plus powder ) 50 lbs for $ 160, he only has one and he wants to get rid of it, he's liquidating a lot of stuffs, I think I'm going to snatch it and give it a shot.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
I am not sure when the change occurred, but I always see guys on ebay selling cases of the older formula. The label is very different.
The only difference I think are is addition of metal protectors to keep your pump and fittings from getting corroded by the procyon.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder

I didnt, but when mixed with matrix miracle it has a slight scent
Re: Procyon Plus Powder
call rotovac, 50lbs $185
thats new formula, I guess its a great deal for us but we pick up in person so no shipping charge.
I think its like $130 for only 25lbs on procyon website, which is the same with rotovac but they give a huge break when you order 50lbs

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
Well he's liquidating, so I'm just helping him out, bought 50 lbs for $ 160, the label said it can be used as a detergents too ?
It also can be used for upholstery cleaning, wow
It says it's environmentally friendly, is it considered a green products ?

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
I bought 50 lbs of this a couple of months ago and started using it early last month, I can't say I'm impressed, my techs also didn't like it that much, even on medium soils, it doesn't seems to cut the soils well, I used it as pre spray and use dry slurry as extraction detergents.
I'm going to finish the batch and go back to prochem power burst.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
Maybe the dry slurry counter-acted the prespray? I would try it without the extraction agent and see what you find.
Re: Procyon Plus Powder
That's a great idea Rob, I'll try it this weekend.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
I have found Procyon to be very good for the green no odor clients. There have been times where i will boost it with peroxide and it kicks. Furniture its really good im finding more people asking if we are the no odor company we have that on our web site.
I need to look into the new formula i have gone from powder to extreme and happy.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
it cuts oil and dirt pretty well from my experience, but we also boost almost every single job with oxygen.
it mixes well with OSR/matrix miracle. Really good pre spray for upholstery, either when pre sprayed or ran metered thru TM
being able to advertise no odor option is also a big plus for a lot of customers.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
I used it without extraction detergents and still didn't get the result I was expecting, at least not as fast as my power burst, with Procyon I have to steam super slow on heavy soiled carpets. In the winter we have a few extra minutes to spare on extracting but in the summer we don't, this product is not for me.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
the powder isnt really meant for super soiled carpets Dp, the extreme is. Also the powder I would add some oxygen to brighten, but I do that with every pre spray
Dp, have you tried Flex with citri solve from interlink? or Bio break? If strong pre spray is what you want.. look no further.
with flex you can pre treat commercial carpet so thick with grease its turned to raw hide leather, no scrub and cut through it like a hot knife thru butter

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
Dp i have tried alot of pre sprays for the college kids apts. So far i am hooked on Judsons SLOP AND GOBBLE 100% soap free no butyl no terpines no vocs no odor it is 12PH so it is for the dirtiest carpets.

Re: Procyon Plus Powder
slop/gobble is pretty good too along with grease eraser.. both are strong for sure
but I would say flex is another level higher in my experience
cant go wrong with any of them if you want a knock out pre spray
