There are some changes to the formula for a lot of the power pre-sprays. California has started banning more ingredients, so companies are scrambling to re-formula their products.

I was an Extreme Clean loyalist for the last 6 years, but it has an odd smell now that doesn't smell too "clean". I have also noticed that Red Line doesn't clean near as well as it once did. Flex is another product likely affected....actually nearly all power packed pre-sprays will be now.

Consider yourself warned, you might have to change so don't stock up right now until you have verified the performance.

I've been using power burst for many years, then switched to power strike ( higher pH ) for a couple years then I went back to power burst before I tried procyon, I definitely will go back to power burst, I also boost with grand slam, I know AC said that's got too much bubbles, I only use like 2 Oz in a 5 qt jug as a boost to power burst, that combo never failed me, not even on the dirtiest carpets.
Sorry procyon, you may be green product but if it doesn't clean, there is no place for it in my trucks Very Happy

regular procyon.

exposure to the harsher chems may not kill you or give you cancer but it will lower your T levels and raise your  estrogen lol        the more you body has to flush the toxin the more it affects your hormones

I wont run anything in the rinse that isnt super safe rated,     pre spray is one thing but steam your really taking it in..   especially when your cleaning stairs

I ditched the flex ice for this reason.      The procyon powder makes a really good rinse btw and doesnt leave residue,     and funny enough odo ban diluted also makes a really good dfe safe rinse and deodorizer..     just peel the label off so nobody knows you got it at home depot.

I also use odo-ban as a deodorant in my waste tank...pretty good stuff actually, but do replace the label like AC stated. I just write on it with a sharpie "Odor Remover".

As for chems, I stopped using extraction agents 12 years ago for the same reason....just not very healthy in a closed building when using high heat.

I struggle with gum remover and any orange degreasers. Just a very small exposure causes severe itching and rashes.

Have your read the warnings on those great smelling orange-based solvents? Most cleaners don't read the MSDS on their chems and almost none of them read the basic warning labels. IF they did, they would all be cleaning "greener" by now.

yup D-lim can be bad stuff. We use it in moderation and never while burner is on. Its for restoration cleanings only.

pre spray is not nearly as much of a worry like I was saying. I like to run light deodorizers, occasionally procyon powder, and matrix all fiber rinse (just citric acid very safe) in the chem injection

I would never run something harsher though just to speed up cleaning. When your in a closed building like your saying Mil, or doing a stair well in someones home your getting EXTREME amounts of exposure straight into your respiratory system.

some of these really powerful high pH rinses have some really nasty ingredients that are proven cancer causing. stuff damages your liver, lungs, etc

heres the ingredients in Prochem Heat Wave

112-34-5 | <4% | Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether*******
497-19-8 | <20% | Sodium Carbonate
6834-92-0 | <15% | Sodium metasilicate

the one I put stars next to you do not want in your lungs

Here Dp,     Im sure youve seen it before but ill sleep better at night just knowing you have seen it

Here is what is in Power Burst,    straight up butyl ether man..  bad stuff.      Probably just fine if your running a cold water portable but not when your steaming with 220f

are you using it as a pre spray or extraction?

497-19-8 | <19% | Sodium Carbonate
6834-92-0 | <8% | Sodium metasilicate
7601-54-9 | <6% | Sodium phosphate, tribasic
111-76-2 | <4% | Ethylene Glycol Butyl Ether********
