Inadvertently lost my professionalism today!
I get a call while driving to a job....while driving, I noticed a really pretty gal drive by me and smile....I smiled back and blew it off....well, my phone rang and the gal said she wanted a quote for her carpets, after some small talk I asked how she heard about us....she said I just drove by one of your vans...I said...""You were that little hottie!"" and before I could fix it she said...was that you in the van? I said yes Ma'am...trying to regain some professionalism (cant fix stupid) she laughed and asked if I had ten minutes as we were close to her house...respectfully I say yes, ma'am....we pull up to the house and when we went in I got to meet the hubby (ninja skills were awakened!) lol it was cool and she was just flattered. I clean it next Wednesday. I was just speaking like I was with an old friend and didn't mean to be rude. My mouth has got me into more trouble.

I've done worse and survived, but I don't have a lie detector living with me either.
It happens.

You probably would have said, "You're not really a hottie Mam"
Now when you go clean for her the hubby is going to give dirty looks cause by then he will know that you had the hots for his wife

Like I said, it happens.
About a year ago at the office, a gal that I've worked with for 10 years showed me a picture of her daughter. The girl is a professional "hip-hop" dancer in LA and although I already knew that, the picture was of a very well built 18 year old dancer wearing about 3 square inches of clothing.
I blurted out "I'd do her".......not the right answer. I quickly said that I was kidding and that "I definitely would not do her". Also the wrong answer.
Just took a big sip of coffee and walked away.

The subject never came up again, but she is the one that asked me to mentor her on starting a business, so I guess she got over it.
I thought it was very weird at the time as well....who does that and what did she expect my response to be?
"Gee, your nearly naked daughter sure looks smart"

Re: Inadvertently lost my professionalism today!
Years ago I saw a pic on the wall of a good looking young lady. I made a comment to the lady of the house; she said that was her when she was younger.
I said something like " you were a hottie". She was about 75 when this happened. She blushed abit.
