Mytee wand Assist Handle
Looks like Mytee makes a wand assist handle that sells for 20.00 fits a 2" or 1.5' tube. I wonder if this one is more comfortable that Joes. Joes angles up so it would seem like it would be more comfortable. What do you guys say we do a loaner for these two handles?
Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
Looks pretty sturdy, yeah loaner sounds good, I'm willing to sponsor it since Mo is already paying for all of the costs for the forum, I can order them and send them to the first member that's interested and just make me last, that way I don't have to send them to anyone else, let me know

I like the looks of Joe's better, and love the added height of it. It keeps me from having to bend my back as much when cleaning. But I wouldn't mind checking this one out and comparing them.

That's what Im thinking to Dave.
Thanks DP oand send it to Dave. Dave can you lend one of Joe's for the loaner so that we can not only compare the two but also compare it to the one that came with our wands for those of us that don't buy from Joe

Isn't it odd how many people are coming out with re-designed handles since Joe posted his on this board? I believe Cobb is featuring one as well now.
Crazy obvious...

This wasn't meant to be an endorsement, it was simply an observation that I haven't seen much about handles until Joe posted his on this board a couple of months ago. I don't frequent many boards (this one is enough for me) so maybe I have just been in the dark when it comes to handles.
Which boards were discussing new handle designs all this time? Maybe I need to get out more and visit them?
How do you like that Mytee handle?

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
Height is a good thing for us tall guys, there is no doubt that it would be beneficial.
I might be strange on this, but on some jobs I like to tilt the handle inwards at about 20 degrees (residential mostly) to help move around a bedroom. What do you think about a handle that would ratchet or else have a 2-position setting so that you didn't have to loosen the bracket to re-position?
Maybe even add a clip to the back of the handle to hold the pressure line in tight for better aesthetics on the wand and avoid snagging?
See what you did, now I am all wrapped up about handles.....I am a cleaning nerd.

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
I've always tilted my handles in a bit too, but less it sounds like, prob about 10 deg for me.. I like the ratcheting idea. That would sure help when you want to use the wand on the other side.
Rob, have you gotten your Joe handles yet?....what do you think?

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
I need to order some Davey...been tangled up with too many things lately.
Curious Jim, why did that handle eliminate the desire to tilt?

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
With Joe's new handle the tilt is less necessary because of the added width.
For me, the main reason I tilt is to keep the metal edge on the side of the grip from digging into my hand, and the added width prevents that.....plus it doesn't have the metal edge, but it sure has a nice spongy grip, that I really like.
Maybe the same for Jim and Mytee handle?

That is why I tilted too...sounds like the handles are an excellent improvement. I am on-board and will be ordering this week.

I'm sure you won't regret ordering one. Like you said, for us "taller guys" the added height it great.

the short straight handle was hard and not comfortable to hold ...by giving it a little tilt it gave it a different angle and you body a different stance....when holding it....
this new handle arches back and makes holding it straight much better.......

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
Yep, definitely wanting a new handle now.
There was a time when I would wear a cycling glove with gel inserts as I never liked the feel of the handles. Sounds like I should have been looking for a new design years ago....like 20 years ago.

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
Cobb sponsored a Mytee handle auction after Joe came out with his assist handle
I was cleaning today and thought about were a good position for the grip to be in. It does look like Joes design has the handle pointing towards the user more than the Mytee but I can't tell.
Mytee also make a aluminum handle for their bently wand the handle doesn't look very comfy though
Dam good idea with the auto tilt option Rob.
Ken, Call Joe to get his handle

Re: Mytee wand Assist Handle
That picture there is a Mytee handle Jim probably an older version.
It sure would be nice to see both side by side. Dave when you get the carbon fiber handle Mytee take a pic of both. There both 20.00
