More than I thought I guess..

It does look longer.

You don't have your hand on the handle all the time do you?

Yes, all the time. Keeping pressure on the head is how you get carpets dry quicker.

Mo,
I would like to give you a little help,
Your soft touch valve is to far forward on your wand. Maybe you have it set that way due to your finger reach.
But your valve should slide back to the grip. If you do this it will take out some of the slop in your solution line.
If the pull trigger is a little to far for your finger reach you can give it a firm squeeze and bend the trigger up a little bit to shorten the distance of the finger reach to make it a little more comfortable to pull.
My hands are a little bigger so I actually pull the trigger down a little to fit to my finger reach. Your soft touch is almost going down the wand tube... you could easily move it back probably 4-5 "

Also another pointer that comes from my motorcycle days, we never torqued down our brake or clutch levers...snug but not tight. This helped them to move when we would wreck.
Our wand handles, soft touch valves can be the same way snug but can be moved with a little tap of the hand to go from right to left hand if we swap arms while cleaning or if you happen to drop wand it may just keep it from breaking something

The valve clamp shouldn't be on the curved part of the tube...

Thanks Tom and Dave. I think I may have moved it to that position. Ill play around with it this weekend. I have small hands and I'm seriously considering a 1.5 inch tube. Do any of you guys prefer a smaller tube?

this is the funny thing, I tried a 1.5 and it bothered me more trying to grip it. I know that is just me I guess, my TM's have always had pretty good suction and trying to squeeze or grip the smaller wand hurt in my fingers weird I know.

Placement is a personal thing, but I think most of the hand fatigue comes from the hose weight rather than the size of the wand tube.

On my Bentely wand, my hand cramps up badly after several hours of work. The reason is that the hose is attached farther behind me than on other wands....much like yours would be Mo with that valve slid forward like you have it.

I would actually like to have the valve all the way back on the wand so that the weight of the hose is as close to my hand as possible. That way, my hand is more relaxed, like carrying a suitcase, rather than trying to tilt upwards slightly against the weight of the hose (I may not be explaining this very well).

As for the 1.5 vs 2 inch tubes, on a large hand (like mine) a smaller tube does create more discomfort from holding it in a tighter fist, so maybe a 1.5 would be comfortatable for a small hand?

I have been designing a wand layout just for myself lately and I think I will try it with the valve mounted in the far rear position....I guess I will need to chop off some of the tube to keep the bend in the right location or else that handle might be a mile away...not even my ape arms would make that work.

I understood exactly what you wrote Rob.

It looks like I'm chocking up on the wand like you would a bat.

I forgot all about this handle. If you guys recall I sent the handle back to Cobbs because I thought it was the wrong size. I received another one and It was completely my fault. I thought it was supposed to slide right in but you have kind on snap on to to the tube.

What a big difference I don't feel like I have to hunch over. If you still have a stock pick one up either from Mytee or Wanders Im sure they'll both be more ergonomically correct that a stock one

I also have the mytee handle, I must say I think it is a little bulky looking to be honest, but it is very comfortable. I think Joe's looks like it will be a little lighter, and that is a good thing.
I have a wp 14 and it has a laid back handle but it is no where near as nice as mytee in comfort. I am sure Joe's is the same.
Even though it is a bit bulky looking the plus for comfort far out weigh it after a day of pushing a wand.

Yeah Tom it does look bulky Joes looks sleeker.

I always thought that keeping your hand on that handle all the time was not good for your back and it felt that way too. But it isn't so bad with this one.
