Let me repeat: "You should never 'replace' an injector... not now that there is the Swap program."
Interesting story....
old guy, 30 year veteran cleaner, OO, franchise cleaner, been using strong chemicals most of his career.
He's gradually been buying all my stuff, just not my chemicals... 'til now.
He trusts me by now.
Calls to tell me his injection sprayer doesn't work too good anymore.
I tell him about my all stainless
lifetime guaranteed Injector Swap Program so he buys one of mine and takes me up on my offer to send all his bad ones to me for repair.
Like most you guys, it's not just one that's not working, it's several (the record so far is 18, from ONE guy).
In his case he sent 3. Easy. In 15 minutes I had all 3 in top shape and working again.
I fix them for free - free labor that is. He just pays for parts. In his case, it was $15 times 3.
Now he's got 4 injectors that work good as new and it cost less than a regular supplier would have charged him to fix one.
Interesting to observe the next sequence...
They all had the same problem - brass nozzle bushing inside metering block was eaten to pieces. I'm thinkin....hmmm strong chemicals.
I replaced his brass with stainless and they work again.
I repeat - All 3 same problem - harsh chemicals. All 3 problems solved by going stainless.
In the near future we will have completely eliminated this problem from our trade. Can you dig it?
BTW my Swap program includes all stainless components - the first all stainless Injector this industry has ever had.
Now while I was telling him about the Swap, I mentioned the check valve I make for the HF Injection Sprayer. It is also stainless, (including the spring inside).
So he orders a couple of these check valves cuz like all Hydroforce sprayers - his drips.
Less than 2 weeks go by, he calls to update me.
- the new all stainless Swap block is working great.
- wants to know if I fixed the bad ones he sent to me
- wants to tell me that the spring inside his brand new check valve has shattered into 4 pieces.
I said, "Wow, really? But you couldn't have had it installed for more than a few jobs. right?"
"Yep two days of cleaning and I started to get this fluttering at the tip. .. took it apart and noticed the spring inside was all broken up."
I ask if he has hard water cuz that's usually what it is (hard water is enough to eat up these tiny springs, but it takes several months) but he says he uses a water softener, so that's not it.
Plus the fact that the spring only lasted a few jobs... I'm thinkin it's gotta be harsh chemicals.
So the sequence leads us to the real problem - the chemicals he's been using.
Sure enough, he using some of the harshest chemicals available to carpet cleaners. He uses it on everything he cleans too! OMG.
So I tell him about S/O and teach him where to get pool shock peroxide.
Asked him if he was having any health problems from his 30 years of cleaning.
Sure enough, he tells me about
his feet - how they go numb real easy... says it feels like his socks are all bunched up inside his shoes.
This is classic nervous disorder at extremities, very common with guys using neurotoxic chemicals (ex.
CAS#111-76-2, 2-butoxyethanol) one of the chemicals many of you guys know to stay away from.
If you don't know about, study your MSD sheets now, before it's too late. Look for these numbers in Sections II or III.
But how do you teach an ole dog that what he's been doing for the last 30+ years -
is dead wrong?Nevertheless, it's nerve damage boys. It's permanent.
Symptoms:
1. his brass nozzle bushing in all 3 injectors eaten up so badly that his injectors didn't work anymore - sign of harsh chemicals. I replaced his with long-life stainless and he is good to go.
2. the Spring in check valve already broken after just a few jobs - more classic evidence of harsh chemicals.
3. his numb feet - classic evidence of nerve damage from neurotoxicity of his everyday prespray.
So, he being a trusting guy, he is gonna take my advise, gonna go get himself some pool shock so he'll have plenty of LP on the cheap.
Then he's gonna call me for some S/O.
Before long I'll have a drum of it in his garage and soon after that, he'll being doing long division in his head and dancing on his toes out to the dumpster with all those nasty chemicals.
Lesson: It's never too late ... even for a veteran of 30 years.
Why do you think so many regular suppliers are either going under or selling out????
Simple... it's cuz they cannot compete.
One by one, all the problems they created over the last 30-40 years - one by one - they are going POOF.
We're not just providing a 'fix' but rather the cure.
One by one, we are completely eliminating the problems they created, and it's happening at break neck speed; so fast the greedy, thieving, murderous suppliers can't make up excuses fast enough.
POOF ... and they will be gone.
Another interesting testimony from a RC here, Davey Cracker. aka goofy face:
He's gopt the drum of S/O and he was just telling me how he was helping a fellow cleaner buddy of his do something, I forget the details, but I do remember him saying that the smell of all those strong chemicals in his van bout made him sick.
It's cuz he's been cured of all that. No more headaches. No more dizzy spells from those nasty smells. Breathe deep in relief... one more ole dog has gone to the safe stuff.
