I would never suggest a good vacuuming for free, I charge for it. It does slow the job down by at least an extra 30 minutes, but as long as I am getting paid for it, I don't care if I am a vacuum jockey or a wand chimp. As we say, each market is different.

CRB machines are awesome tools, especially for pet homes. I often recover enough hair to build a small cat. Shocked

Do you Vacuum? - Page 5 Empty Re: Do you Vacuum?

Post by Devon07 Mon Oct 05, 2015 6:13 am

I have new carpet ....I also have a German shepherd and he sheds pretty good....I also vacuum twice a week at least! I hate hair. So, I got my new CRB and ran it over half the liv rm....then with a clean NEW vac I ran it over the other half....the results were interesting.

The CRB had over twice the hair easily.....the Vac had small dust particles that the CRB didnt get....my carpet is in fact new but my dog does go from outside to inside frequently and does not wipe his feet at the door. So, both are needed ....if I was going to clean, and the house was well kept....CRB only....if I thought the vac would help something...I would. The CRB is amazing in the way it wakens the nap and gets it ready for cleaning.

AC....do you run the CRB dry first?....or do you prespray and do all in one? Im playing with this but need more jobs to try on...today Im resting!

sometimes dry first if they have a lot of pets or long haired animals

mostly after pre spray, I used to think it took longer but actually saves money and time.

since doing this we use about 1/2 as much pre spray, and wanding is lower psi with longer strokes since you no longer need that slow heavy flushing.

The sweet spot for us is 12 flow wand, 400psi and strokes that are about 5ft long. Used to run 6-8 flow and flush a lot slower plus more concentrated pre spray and spraying more, also 500psi.

higher flow you can clean better faster with maintaining higher temps at the jets

Nice info AC! Thanks!

I can realize the time savings already. I also had a couple jobs come really clean and fast....I need more under my belt to make sure its all CRB.

Thanks again.

+1 on the 12 flow wand, longer stroke, and 400 psi.

It is like we were on the same job, man....I must be doing something right.
