Never under estimate small jobs.

A lady called me whom was hispanic and asked for me to clean a mattress and a small room for her....she was very sweet and you can tell a hard worker as she kept me watered down and offered sodas etc....we did a great job and I discounted because she has several kids and is a very clean family ...one of this kids goes to school with my son...so, she was thanful and said she cleans houses and would get me some more work....SHE DID! I do a 2000 sf empty job tomorrow and did two jobs for DRs the past few days....guess who the house cleaner is? she was so thankful and knew my work was worthy of referring. If I ever make to the ballgame tomorrow I will see them and treat the kids to a soda and candy!

Oh I never under estimate small jobs, I've done enough $ 100 jobs that turned to $ 700 - $ 1200 jobs the following week or month, some customers just like to "test drive" you first.

That's great D ! I would clean her carpets / mattresses for free next time she needs them cleaned if she keeps referring you to her customers.

Btw I didn't know there are hispanics in OK ? Lol

ya we have a minimum but never turn down any job if possible

I have three cleaning companies that refer work to me. This year one of them requested a commission. I didn't blink an eye I gave them a one 10% for all new referrals

Ten percent is pretty cheap, you got a bargain.

Thats how I got into this business.

I did big time commercial before I ever did much residential.

Entire campus at Northwest Hospital, 6 buildings every night except sunday.


wish I knew about encaping commercial back then, could have been much easier but encap was a really new thing then. I would have ate that place for dinner with a cimex.

There arent many Mexicans here like California. I do have several who know me and we work around each other....I have a concrete tool I manufacture and the concrete business is heavy with the Mexicans...their wives etc. We know some from school and they throw it our way....we go out of our way to extend friendship to minorities usually.

I have two more referrals today...both are big jobs...over a $1000 ea, one is a little outside carpet cleaning but Ill take it. I gotta tell ya, Im not sure Im in shape enough to have many $1000 days...today I did $1260 and had my brother in law help me. But im almost too tired and sore to go to my sons Band thing tonight! uhhgg

I think a 20k month will ease the pain buddy LOL

Im in cleaning shape...not a $1200 day marathon. lol Mo....im getting old and beat up. Look its 5 am and im out the door. catch up later!

One of the benefits of being self-employed is that you never have to get up before the Sunrise, nor work like a dog.......oops, never mind.

Might want to add this one to the disadvantages column on being an Owner / Operator.
