1" on a B&S engine?..sounds small?....or does Judson choke them down for some reason?

Last 2 eng. I've had, Onan and Kohler are both 1.25" header pipes into 1.5" Y at exit.

No its a stock B&G muffler. I have to buy a new one. The welds that holds the manifolds exhaust pipes to muffler are done that's why it's loud.

What would you think about an exhaust manifold without a muffler the hx would be the muffler. Did not think about the muffler lot of heat loss there. Does your muffler set across the back of the engine.

Sounds good.

I was thinking about just using the manifold pipes and just add flex hose to each one connecting to a Y at the HX

So I used my inline thermometer to test the heat with the HX. The machine needs to be on and under load for at least 20 minutes before it starts cooking.

Next test will be with a new muffler and the test after that will be with muffler removed and exhaust directly to HX. I still need to test heat with 6 flow wand.

Now just because your QD are hot to the touch does not mean thw water atw is hot. I cleaned a rug with my 6 flow wand and the temp was between 110-112 with exhaust

So to recap 160 ATM - 110 with a 110 foot hose. I get my new muffler on Wednesday

2 things.........

You need an inferred thermometer.

And, you used two different thermometers to measure, which can't be an apples to apples comparison.....same one needs to be used for both. wink

BUT here is the good, you look Hawt in your Hawaiian tank top, and your choice in music. dancing

I think he was comparing the results between the 2 thermometers just to make sure the inline thermometer is reading correctly.

And I couldn't agree more on the tank top, I gotta get him a new muscle shirt next time I go to Hawaii Razz

I used the the digital to make sure the mechanical thermometer was right and it was.

What would you point the infrared thermometer at?

That digital probe thero is prob good, but I'd use it on both just to get an accurate difference, if I were measuring.

I think my regulator might be failing. I keep loosing pressure. I can get it to prime up again but the loose pressure again.

Is this the one for the TNT ACE?. I'm going to order a rebuild kit too.

That should work, but what's the price. I've always liked the suttner regulator st230 look at it. Screw the top off and take the center spring out other wise you can't get the pressure down to 100 psi or less for upholstery cleaning. You have to add a tee to one side but thats all. Check it out for the price.
